This step-by-step tutorial guides you through on how to create a matching card game webpage with JQuery. In this game, players need to match two cards with the same animal. When the player clicks on a card and “opens” it, the value of the card (ie. the animal picture) is revealed. The player can only open 2 cards each time. They need to remember where the cards are placed. When the two cards do not match, they will be flipped over. The game will end when the player pairs up all the cards correctly.

This card game tutorial uses JQuery which is a fast and lightweight library of Javascript. The purpose of jQuery is to make it much easier to use JavaScript on your web page in which it simplifies HTML document traversing, event handling, animating, and Ajax interactions for rapid web development.
